        Yuyuan Village is the first village awarded the title of “China’s Historical and Cultural Village”. It is also the only Taoist Tai Chi (twin fish) and Astrological Village in China.Yuyuan village is under the governance of Wuyi County, which is a historical town established in Tang Dynasty (BC 691). Wuyi County is in the central area of Jinhua City, which is around 350 kilo meters from Shanghai.Previously Yuyuan Village was always stricken by floods and drought until Liu Bowen (the first Prime Minister of Ming Dynasty) re-designed the village based on the Taoist Tai Chi diagram and changed the river course from straight line into the S curve accordingly.
